Name of the Day: the most charming new company names

21 October 2026 · Figures as of 20/10/2026

Thousands of companies are registered every weekday, and some have wonderful names. Each morning our Name of the Day picks one from the previous day's registrations, plus a few runners-up.

The first week's picks

• 20/10/2026: Wild Mums Crew CIC, registered in Redcar: a warm, cheerful name about community and friendship.
• 18/10/2026: Jedwood Limited: a gentle name with the ring of a quiet woodland path.
• 17/10/2026: Padel2020 Limited: a cheerful nod to padel, the racquet sport.
• 16/10/2026: Corvus Kepler Limited: a constellation and an astronomer in one cosmic name.
• 15/10/2026: We Like To Move It Fylde Ltd: rhythmic, cheerful, with a local touch.

How it's chosen

An AI model reads a sample of the previous day's new company names and suggests a shortlist. The rules are strict: nothing that could be read as a slur, nothing sexual, nothing that targets a person or group, and nothing that's only funny because of a spelling mistake. A person can swap any pick for a runner-up. The aim is a smile, never a laugh at someone's expense.
